Nail of the day: Brushtrokes It!

By teaplayground · June 25, 2010 · 18 Comments ·

CG's light as air for the base and Black polish for the design, taken without any topcoat.

I wanted to try some nail designs and thought of those brushstrokes, chinese fossils/painting sort of thing and came out with it. What do you think about this? Nice? Abstract-y? Ugly? Personally, i liked it alot though, so i'm a happy camper polisher :) If anyone wants tutorial for this, let me know.

Here's the tutorial for the brushstroke it look : http://teaplayground.onsugar.com/Tutorial-Brushstrokes-ombre-manicure-8946468

haneyaynie: i'm on it already Laughing out loud actually the tutorial is up but i want to include more swatches of it using different colors and my sister took the G11 camera and my camera also the megapixel is good, for some weird reason, can't take close up pictures Sad

icyabstract: thank you ! haha, yeah, i know what you mean! i thought this was nice too, but it can be subjective as well. some of my friends relate it to tyre marks on the road! lol!

hazelnutt: Laughing out loud yeap, it reminds me of pop art as well when i tried it over OPI's a grape fit Smiling

skigurl: i know, they keep breaking so some are shorter whereas the rest are longer, i'm just waiting for it all to grow out longer so that i can go to my manicurist to file and shape them nicely once and for all. thank you Smiling i'm in the processing of doing it Smiling it's really fast and easy actually Laughing out loud

I like it. I tried playing with splotchy polish once, but it looked less Jackson Pollock and more worn and chipped.
